Writing

Writing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. “Enjoyment” may be too strong a word; it’s less a hobby than a compulsion—a way of thinking things through when they refuse to stay quiet. I’ve written plays, fiction, essays, blogs, and poetry, often moving between forms depending on what the material seems to demand rather than any preference on my part.

Each form offers a different kind of experience and freedom. Plays allow me to think in voices and conflict, fiction lets me explore interior lives and imagined worlds, and poetry distills ideas to their emotional core. I don’t rank them, and I don’t force myself into a single lane. I write when something needs to be worked out, preserved, or said plainly—and I follow the form that feels most honest in the moment.
