A Wish I Have Upon This Night
A wish I have upon this night,
to once more feel her touch. Beneath her kisses burning bright, a subtle caress, sensuous. ‘O say I such sweet delight, those kisses burning bright! She fancied me a time ago, a time when both our hearts were young. 'Til icy distance bid her go, as winter's tale fell from my tongue. Fledgling youth that day be done, as winter's tale fell from my tongue! So left am I in darkness now to ponder these that are my sins. While in the night, so lithe the light, the stabbing pains come from within. And shroud my yearning in the din. The stabbing pains come from within! |
