I could do one of those professional sounding third person biographies, but since it's my website and I am solely responsible for the content, doing so might rightly lead one to conclude that I am either pretentious, royalty, or suffering from a personality disorder. Perhaps the mere act of having a website makes me pretentious and to those critics I simply say: Shut up.
I've been fortunate to be able to do a lot of interesting things in my life, both professionally and artistically and this site honors the latter. It also honors the part of me that is acutely aware that the circumstances of my birth and my mid-middle class standing in American culture make me extraordinarily well resourced by most global standards. I try not to take this for granted and this has shaped my world view as a progressive. I am for equal rights for everyone, I am for the fundamental teachings of Jesus without all of the post-messianic add-ons, and while I enjoy a passionate debate, I firmly believe that life is frequently best taken with a grain of salt, a lime, a shot of tequila, and a tongue that is firmly planted in one's cheek.
